Why Use Google AdWords?

Good question indeed. After all if you are spending money on something you would like to know whether it will be beneficial to you or not, right? Advertising is so costly. Why should you go for that without knowing its benefits? But wait, you do not have to pay for Google AdWords; not unless someone shows an actual interest in your ad and clicks on it.

When anyone searches for something on the Google search engine, certain ads which are related to those keywords appear on the right hand side of the search page beside the usual search results. Those are Google AdWords - advertisements by companies who specialize in areas related to those keywords.

Keywords are the key phrase here. You should create the ads containing words which catch the essence of your product. These words would also be the words which anyone looking for your product would think of when they search. For example if you have to sell PCMCIA cards, you will mention that in your ad. Easy enough, isn't it?

What are the benefits of using Google AdWords?

You Don't Have to Pay. Unless some one clicks on the link you provide on the ad. The pay is on a pay per click basis. Since only people interested in your product will click on it, you do have a good chance of them buying it from you.

This means you will be paying only when the ads benefit you and you earn. You Don't Need A Web Page. Google will allow you to create one for free. So even if you don't have your own web page, that won't be a problem. You can still sell your products or service through Google AdWords.

Your Ad Is Not Wasted. The ads will appear only when someone searches for a keyword, which is related to your product. Hence, you attract only those folks who are already interested in your product. Unlike television, radio, and even some other online advertisements, the Google AdWords target your direct audience.

Google's Popularity. This is probably what should close the deal for you. For, everyone knows Google's popularity. While in US, Google has a market share of 7.07 per cent; the Google.co.uk has a popularity of 9.34 per cent. These do not include people using Google tool bar and similar tools of Google.

Google is popular in other countries as well. Hence your ad will have a wide audience if you use Google AdWords. Google Tools. Google has tools, which you can make of to find out details such as the popularity of your keywords, number of searches, amount of competition etc.

So, why would you not use Google AdWords?

How to Avoid Going Broke Using Google AdWords

The biggest problem with using Google AdWords is the fact that unless you know what your doing, you can lose all your money and wind up in debt with nothing to show for it. I want to show you right now how to avoid going broke using this traffic source.

Secret #1:

You need to realize that you have to start small when you get AdWords traffic. If you're trying to get visitors to your site, don't just dump the dictionary into your account and turn on your traffic.

That is the quickest way to lose all your money and put yourself out of business. You have to realize that your bank account does not care about how many visitors came to your site.

Your bank account only cares about the profit you made from the visitors that came to your site. So don't just try and get a ton of people coming to your site right away when you have no idea what you are doing.

Secret #2:

Start small and finish big. What you need to do is test everything & work to get profitable with one or two keywords. Once you're making a profit with a small amount of visitors, then you can open up the flood gates and get more.

But you have to make sure you're testing everything to insure that your visitors are buying and that you know the amount you can afford on a per click basis.

It might take you a bit longer to get profitable, but once you do - your going to see your sales snowball.

Basic SEO Optimization Techniques - Google Webmaster Tools

This article has been written to help people who may be new to internet marketing get their website noticed by the search engines. There is much more that can be done, but for the sake of simplicity, I have chosen to deal with only one topic in this article - the use of Google Webmaster Tools.

Note: Google Webmaster Tools is able to be utilized on many of the website building sites, so although these notes are particularly aimed at WordPress, you can still use them to help get the SEO going on your other sites. You will generally be able to find all this sort of information under a 'Settings' tab when you are in edit mode on your website.

You can get your sites verified by pasting the meta tag code from the Google Webmasters Tools site into the appropriate box when you are in edit mode for your site on the website building site.

Back on the Google Webmasters Tools site, you can also often get your site sitemapped by typing in 'sitemap.xml' in the box next to your site's address, after you have clicked on the 'Add Sitemap' button.

Go to the website at Google.com/webmasters/tools/

If you have a little look around here, you will see how Google views your website. This site can give you valuable information about the traffic coming to your site and how you can increase it by analyzing your View Links Data, Top Queries and Page Analysis.

The important thing about this site is that by submitting your sitemap directly to them, they will be sure not to miss any of your posts or pages.

So, sign up for your account (a good idea is to use the same log-in information for this account and your AdSense account [if you don't have an AdSense account yet, just keep it in mind, because you probably will open one at some later stage and you can use the same account details for it]. Ditto for AdWords.

When you log in you will see your Dashboard. Add your site address with the www. but not the http.

Click 'Add Site'

You will then need to verify your site, so choose the 'Add a Meta Tag' option. Below you will see a code, which you need to copy and paste into your site's header. Open a new window and go into your WordPress Admin area. Go to 'Appearance' then 'Theme Editor' then select the Header from the list on the right-hand side. When it comes up, scroll down to where you see the script and paste your meta tag code in just ABOVE this script and BEFORE the script.

Click 'Update File'

Go back to your Webmaster Tools window and click on the 'Verify' button. If you have done everything correctly, you should get a message confirming verification.

Now, go back to your Webmaster Tools Dashboard and next to your site URL there will be a column titled 'Sitemap' - click on the link that says 'Add'. Choose 'Add General Web Sitemap' and put in sitemap.xml where required. Click on 'Add General Web Sitemap'

You need to get some good content onto your site, if you haven't already done so, before you move on to more SEO strategies. If you created your site on one of the website building sites, once you have put some content on your site and you have published it, you can use other search engine optimization strategies, also.

Attention Webmasters and Bloggers: Google Is Watching You

It is always the case with the blogger or webmaster owning more than one blogs or websites. The main question keeps always arising in mind is "Do a interlinking of my website may benefit each other as backlinks?", and the answer I found is "No". Let me explain this point in more details.

As I explained in my last articles, only the backlinks that are anchor text link from within the content and from similar niche website or relevant content will be able to deliver link juice and hence ranking power to your link. If you own more than one blog in different niche or more than one domain in the same niche, you will surely try to interlink them to get more backlinks from your own websites or blogs.

Wait. What if Google knows that you are the solely owner of all these websites and you put those links to get backlink only, chances are that your links will be of no importance and you might not get any benefit from there.

But how Google can know that I own all these websites?

Simply because Google is the giant company and owns most webmaster tools like Google toolbar, Google webmasters tools, Google analytics, Google AdSense etc.

If you are the owner of multiple websites or blogs,

You might have integrated Google analytics code form the same Google account.
You might have used single Gmail account for all communication regarding those websites.
You might have monetized your blog to make money online from the same Google AdSense account.
You might have registered all your blogs under the same Google webmasters account.
You might have been surfing in Google search engine for finding information and to research about your domains while logged in with your Google account.
You might have been updating and maintaining your all domains from the same internet (IP) address. May be your home or office. Your IP can be detected by Google analytics script you might have integrated in your blogs.

Any way, nothing is officially announced by Google but I think Google is smart enough to know and understand about what happening over internet. After upgrading the Google search algorithm, indexing and processing of indexed data has become much more faster than ever. For example, if you are using dummy social accounts to spread your links, Google's smart algorithm can easily detect it as such dummy account do not have real list of followers or genuine activities on internet.

What is the solution?

I think this is not the problem with white hat SEO experts and genuine bloggers. There is no risk if you are not trying to hide any thing from Google. Solution is only that you do not underestimate the Google and do not try use wrong strategies to market your blog online or to spread your link popularity online, other wise you will be easily cached by Internet giant.

Let me quote directly from their website

"OpenOffice.org is a multiplatform and multilingual office suite and an open-source project. Compatible with all other major office suites, the product is free to download, use, and distribute."

Basically Open Office is a FREE alternative to Microsoft Office. It can read and write most if not all the standard Office files.

The aspect I like about it is that its built in wordprocessor (write) can load Microsoft Word documents and then you can save them as standard PDF documents.

This means that you can create your own e-books and reports without having to buy expensive PDF creators.

Give it a go... It's well worth while.
