Using Google AdWords to Boost Online Profits

I'm sold! Google AdWords is king. Up to this point I have been discussing the Data Entry portion of the "Work at Home" market, but my next series of posts will be discussing "Affiliate Marketing" and some tips to help you get started making money in this lucrative field. For years I have been studying SEO (free) methods to bring traffic to my websites and blogs, but recently I purchased a few programs that teach how to properly use Google AdWords to drive targeted traffic to my sites.

Most gave pretty much the same information (find a niche, research targeted keywords, get an AdWords account, create an ad/s, track to see what works and make needed changes.) They broke down each of these steps and made it sound pretty easy so I decided to loosen my grip on my wallet and take the leap into PPC (pay-per-click) land. I am so happy I did.

It takes months of trail and error, writing and rewriting, & quite a bit of work in general to get your site ranked anywhere near the first page of Google (where the real money is made.) Believe me I've tried and it's tough. I followed the instructions of the programs I purchased and after a stressful week waiting for my 1st campaign to get approved (I'm told it usually doesn't take that long), my ad showed up on the left side of the search page for most of my chosen keywords. After 2 weeks My ads are at the number one ad position for my 3 main keywords, because I guess I learned well and have a 5% click through ratio (which pretty good) for my main ad.

The best part is I have made $44.77 for every $10.00 worth of paid clicks on average so far. How great is that? I am so excited; and my head is spinning with ways to improve my current campaign and ideas for my next one. Back to the books/videos for me. I'm no AdWords expert (yet! stay tuned) so if I can make these kind of returns, anybody can. Imagine if you could make over $40 for every $10 you invest in your business? Sounds like a sure path to financial freedom to me.

Now all I have to do is follow the old adage and "Rinse and repeat" the steps I've taken so far. I can't guarantee you will get the same results as I have, but AdWords definitely smells like money to me. Over the next few weeks or so I'm going to give you:

The names of the programs I have and am still studying. How to find products to promote. Traditional affiliate programs vs. CPA (cost per action) The tools (like I've said I like the free ones)I use to do research. AdWords campaign creation. Ad writing tips. Online performance tracking programs. Payment options. Websites I found useful. Any other tips I can think of.

If you are just getting started with affiliate marketing free SEO is good, but if you want immediate results I suggest giving Google AdWords a try.
