Link Farms and Google Webmaster Guidelines

I believe that long-term success with search engine optimisation comes from using only ethical SEO techniques and following Google Webmaster Guidelines. However, one of the most challenging aspects of search engine optimisation is seeing so many websites not 'playing fair' and using unethical link schemes and so-called 'link farms'.

According to Google's Webmaster Guidelines, a site's ranking in Google search results is in part based upon analysis of other sites that link to the site in question. These links are commonly termed 'backlinks'. Google does not provide any information publicly about exactly how it assesses backlinks and how it uses this information to affect Google rankings.

The best way to build high quality backlinks is to focus on:

submitting your website to high-quality, recognised directories. At the very least, you should submit your site to 'DMOZ', which is part of the Open Directory Project. You should also seek out reputable directories that are related to your specific business area
creation of unique, high-quality content. Google's Webmaster Guidelines state, "The best way to get other sites to create relevant links to yours is to create unique, relevant content that can quickly gain popularity in the Internet community. The more useful content you have, the greater the chances someone else will find that content valuable to their readers and link to it."

You have no doubt have gathered that building high-quality back links to a website can be a time consuming process. Given that there is intense competition among companies to rank highly in Google search listings, it is not surprising that many companies circumvent ethical link-building strategies and seek out 'quick fixes'. There are many companies that claim to be able to provide thousands of backlinks for your website (often for a significant fee). For example, here are some of the website listings from a Google search I have just performed for the keyword 'backlinks':

"Get over 1000 one way backlinks to boost your website rankings!"
"Buy up to 100000 verified backlinkss"
"Get 10000 verified forum backlinks now"
"10 Million Links to your Website - Increase Website traffic"

Recently, I launched a new website on behalf of an events company. I found it particularly frustrating that, after spending considerable time and effort building up a relatively small number of legitimate backlinks, I discovered that the top four websites in the Google search results for an important keyword all had tens of thousands of backlinks.

Closer investigation revealed that the vast majority of these had no relevance whatsoever to their business and were clearly from unethical link-building companies. Following their backlinks led to a large number of suspiciously named websites of very similar names (albeit with subtle differences between names), filled with links back to their websites (as well the websites of many other different types of company).

The big question is 'will they get away with it'?

On one side, it is clear that Google disapproves of such schemes and can take measures to severely damage the rankings of any website found to be participating in such schemes. The Google Webmaster Guidelines state, "Don't participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or 'bad neighbourhoods' on the web, as your own ranking may be affected adversely by those links."

"Some webmasters engage in link exchange schemes and build partner pages exclusively for the sake of cross-linking, disregarding the quality of the links, the sources, and the long-term impact it will have on their sites. This is in violation of Google's Webmaster Guidelines and can negatively impact your site's ranking in search results."

On the other side, the companies using unethical link building are still being ranked highly in today's search engine results. Perhaps their rankings are more to do with other aspects of their online business and maybe Google is already fully aware of the unethical practices being followed.

I believe that, while unethical link building could give your business some short-term advantages, you are also putting your business at significant risk in the longer term. Over time, Google will continue to get smarter about such schemes. Successful link building is more about the quality and relevance of backlinks than the number of backlinks. In words from Google's Webmaster Guidelines, "Creating good content pays off".

If you're keen to create a level playing field, you can report your offending competitors to Google. If you believe that another site is abusing Google's quality guidelines, then you report that site at: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport.

In conclusion, don't get disillusioned when facing online competitors that have accrued tens of thousands of backlinks through unethical link building. Instead, focus on high quality, highly relevant link building. You've always got the option of reporting offending sites to Google. If you keep to ethical search engine optimisation techniques you'll know with confidence that you'll never be reported or face having your search rankings lowered dramatically.

How to Use Google AdWords to Find a Profitable Market

The coolest feature about AdWords is that you can actually use this traffic source to tell you if your market is going to give you enough visitor flow to make a good profit. In this article I want to show you exactly how to make this happen.

Secret #1:

You must first realize that a lot of those keyword tools that you can get access to and buy are wrong.

I am not trying to cut them down, but you need to know that they are external sources that try and guess the best they can at what keyword volume is.

They do a great job at what they do, but they are external tools! So don't bet your financial future on the fact that some external keyword tool is telling you a market is a gold mine.

Use them as a gauge to point you in the right direction.

Secret #2:

When you find a market that looks good and that the tools tell you has good traffic - test it in AdWords. Use this site to tell you for sure what the traffic is!

Then drive the visitors to an affiliate program to see if any of them actually buy from you. If they do and you get a good amount of visitors coming your way - you'll know that it works and can move to product creation.

But make sure you don't just look at a market and hope it works or use your "feelings". It does not take long to test it using AdWords the right way! Do this and you will be in better shape and find a great market.

How to Turn $1 Into $5 Using Google AdWords the Right Way

You may not know this, but you can turn your Google AdWords advertising into a profitable bank machine if you know what you are doing and how to use it. In this article I want to show you exactly how I turn $1 into $5 using Google AdWords.

Secret #1:

The first thing you have to realize is that buying traffic from Google is not an expense that you budget like gas for your car. It is an investment that should give you a huge return.

Most people are so worried that they spent $1000 on AdWords that they are trying to figure out ways to get the cost down to $700 so they can make $300 more in profit.

Secret #2:

You have to realize that if you spend $1000 in AdWords advertising and made $3000 in new sales you have made a 300% return on your investment. So instead of trying to figure out how you can grind out an extra $300 and keep growing your sales, why not figure out how you can spend $2000 in Google to get $6000 back in new sales?

Secret #3:

You have to understand that you want volume and not just high net profit numbers. Sure saving $300 will be good and add to your bottom line, but it will cost you a fortune in lost income by playing that way. So make sure you are focused on finding as many ways as you can to turn your $1 dollar bills into $5 dollar bills using AdWords.

Why Most People Fail at Using Google AdWords

The biggest problem with using Google AdWords is the fact that most people fail at it. Most people can't get traffic & a lot of the people who do get traffic can't seem to get it to convert to leads & sales. In this article I want to show you the reasons people fail and how you can avoid these.

Reason #1 For Failure:

Underestimate their markets. This is the biggest problem that people have with using AdWords. Most people think they can just load up their campaigns and the traffic will start flowing.

That is a great idea, but the problem is that you potentially could have 20 other people who are trying to get visitors from the same keywords as you are. So you have to make sure you do proper market research and make sure you know how much you can spend on a per click basis before you launch your campaign.

Reason #2 For Failure:

Getting traffic to your site that does not convert to buyers. This is almost worse then getting no visitors as it cost you money to get people to your site who don't buy. A lot of times you can drive thousands of visitors to your site and never see a sale.

What you need to realize is that smaller and slower is better when you are starting out. So start out with the low traffic keywords that are very qualified & make them profitable first.

Once you're making a profit on those keywords - then expand out to the bigger ones that give you more traffic.

How to Blog Effectively With 7 Awesome Free Blog Tools

During 3 months of learning how to blog, it's inevitable that I have to resort to various blog tools to make the process easier. I will try to make a comprehensive list of these tools in accordance to their function so that you can incorporate all or part of them in your blog management.

1. SEO evaluation tools or software for your website

There are a great number of blogging tools that you can use when you need to evaluate the SEO effectiveness of their website. WooRank is a brand new free service recommended by Techcrunch this morning. It evaluates a website based on 50 criterias, provides helpful SEO tips and most importantly it's free for now. I've used the tool to evaluate some of my websites today, and connectivity seemed to be excellent as opposed to the frequent downtime complain mentioned by Techcrunch.

2. Links Checker

There are a few free blogging tools you could use for checking backlinks. The most commonly used is none other than Google Webmaster Tool. It's the most basic blogging tool. Apart from this, you can use Backlink Watch to check on all the sites that are linked to yours. There are a few advantages in using Backlink Watch:

a. Don't have to past tracking code into your website
b. Shows all the websites and pages that are linking to your own website
c. Comprehensive

It's disadvantage:

a. The tool limits the frequency you can use it in checking backlinks

3. Keywords Analysis

Use Google AdWords Keyword Tool to gauge on the keyword that you wanted to use on your blog title and its content. For example, if you can't decide on which keyword or phrase to use, "blog tools" or "blogging tools". Just type both the phrases into the fill-in-box, then followed by clicking on the 'Get keyword ideas'. From here, you can actually gauge which phrase has a higher search and subsequently, choose the best keyword.

4. Analyse Trends

Google Trend is still the best tool to use when you want to know about the most talked about trend being searched in Google. Google is the big brother of Search Engine. As a result, if a particular fad or trend is rising in popularity in Google, you can rest assured that, this is the trend you need to watch out for in the rest of the blogosphere.

If there is a field that you are particularly interested in, for example, blogging, you could make use of Google Alerts. Google Alerts would send you the latest news and happening of your interest to your email address.

5. Duplicate Contents

You have to be more sensitive with duplicate contents in your blog if you are hiring part time writers for your content. You are paying these writers and as a result, you would expect their articles to be original and not just pure plagiarism. Try CopyScape. This website allows you to check all the possible duplicated contents inside your website. With this report in hand, you can always ask for refunds from your writers.

6. Search Engine Ranking Checker

Thumbshots Ranking could be used to compare SERP ranking in different search engines, for example Google vs Yahoo.

Another exceptional free SERP checker worth mentioning is SERP Rank. Of the two, I found the latter to be more precise in gauging the search engine ranking of our website.

7. Page Rank Checker

For the beginners, we could just use Google Page Rank Checker to check the page rank on any site of your interest. For instance, there might be a site or link that you are interested to exchange link with. Most of the time, we do not want this link to be lower than the page rank of our own, so therefore, we carry out the page rank check.

8. Social Networking

The No. 1 tool that comes into my mind is TweetDeck. This blog tool is an Adobe Air desktop application used to access twitter. It's built in panes that allow an enormous exchange of information tweets. An obvious advantage of TweetDeck as compared to other Tweeter browser is the former's responsive speed and smaller file size.

Another social network tool called twables, which is said to enable you to find all of your Facebook friends on Twitter so that you can follow them, and they can follow you! For this tool, I can't really comment much about it because personally, I haven't really given it a try. Please try it out and give us your comments if you like!

The links to all the blogging tools mentioned are made available in the blog.

I love blogging and I'm going help you make your blog business a success. Please follow me on HowToBlog.org in Blogging Tools

How to Get the Best Bang for Your Buck Using Google AdWords

Google AdWords has become more and more difficult for small business owners to use. There are literally thousands of competing ads trying to grab your customers' attention.

As an advertiser, you know that the right strategy and information will help you beat your competitors... and dominate a larger percentage of your niche market.

Here are some key tips on how to get the most bang for your buck using Google AdWords.

**advanced strategies available below.

TIP # 1 Organize Your Campaign By Theme Or Get Penalized.

When creating a campaign, make sure you create separate ad groups for each of your products, brands, or types of services you offer. Each ad group must have a highly relevant set of keywords and ads that match the specific theme.

For example, you can start with a specific product for ad group 1. Ad group 1 will then contain only keyword phrases related to that specific product. By doing this, your ads will spotlight exactly what your customer is searching for.

You will position your ads to receive a massive surge of traffic and cut your cost in half.

TIP# 2 The "Right" Keywords Will Guarantee Success.

It's extremely important that you use specific keywords relevant to each ad group and landing page. If you load your campaigns with overly broad keywords, Google AdWords will lower your ad ranking. Your results will be many ad impressions, but very few clicks.

As a general rule, avoid one-word keywords which are to broad for a successful campaign. Look for the money words, or "buying" keywords which contain two- or three-word phrases. Maximize the keyword tool to generate more long-tail keyword ideas.

Example: The keyword "money" is to broad and overly saturated. However, the keyword phrase " make money at home scrapbooking" is very specific and indicates a person who knows what they want.

The longer the keyword phrase the more valuable it is to your pay-per-click campaign.

TIP# 3 Are You Including Keywords In Your Ad Text?

The # 1 way to get to the top of the search results is to place your keywords in the title of your ad text. This will show your customers that you have exactly what they want.

When your ad appears in the search results for a keyword in your ad group, the keyword will be seen in bold text by your prospect. This helps draw attention to your ad and Google AdWords loves advertisers who do this.

TIP# 4 Is Your Destination URL Relevant?

Google's main goal is to connect its searchers with the most relevant web pages available. Make sure that your destination URL (landing page) represents the most relevant page within your website -- ideally, the page should be dedicated to the specific product or service that's highlighted in your ad.

For example, if your ad tells a prospect that you sell a specific product, make sure your URL sends them directly to the page discussing that product.

Internet users like instant gratification and will not search through your website looking for what your ad promised.

BONUS TIP:

Getting Google to Index Your Website

When you first build a website, it can take anything from several days to weeks and months for search engines to include its pages in their indexes. Certain engines, such as Yahoo!, offer a premium service for sites to appear more quickly, whereas Google has no paid version for site inclusion.

Google's crawler is a process known as GoogleBot, which follows links on sites to discover new content and understand the connection of any given page to the rest of the Internet. GoogleBot then updates Google's indexes accordingly, and once the spider has visited your site, there's nothing you need to do to keep it coming back. GoogleBot will decide based upon your site's size, links and frequency of changing content how often to revisit to check for updates.

Contrary to common belief, there's actually no way to submit your site to Google. Even though they offer a "Submit URL" form, there's no evidence that it causes GoogleBot to view your webpages or has an impact on their crawling whatsoever. But although site submission is not possible, the simplest way to get Google to notice you is to have an inbound link from another site already in Google's index. This works because GoogleBot follows links it discovers, so if you can develop inbound links to your site, it will follow the trail and read your pages.

Another useful tool once you are indexed is Google Webmaster Tools, which allows you to register any site you administer, and provides statistics about how GoogleBot views your site. This can help uncover common problems, such as broken links, missing pages, malware and other issues that can cause your pages to lose rankings in the search engines.

Using Google Webmaster Tools to Find Low Hanging Fruit

You can use Google Webmaster Tools to uncover some "low hanging fruit" for getting a bit more traffic to your website. The First step of course is you have to get a webmaster account in Google and verify your site. You can put the keyword "Google webmaster tool" in the Google search bar and find out how to register for your webmaster account. You can then also follow the instructions to verify your site.

One of the features of the webmaster tool is that it will show you all the major search terms that your site appeared in over a selected time period. In addition to the search terms it will show you the following for each term:

Number of impressions: The number of times someone searched using that search term in Google over the specified time period
Click through rate: How frequently the visitor clicked on your search engine listing
Average position: Your sites average ranking during that time period.

You also can drill down for each term and see specific data for each range of rankings. For most search terms, your site ranking will move up and down, so sometimes it is helpful to see the data for each specific ranking.

I use the average ranking to sort my results. For most sites, you will see that you rank in a lot more search terms than what you optimized for (assuming you did some optimization). What I am specifically looking for is search terms that:

Have not been optimized
Are ranking in the top 20
Have a fair amount of impressions
And are relevant to my business

Yes, these terms are in all probability going to be longer tail search terms, but these can be a gold mine for your business.

I am going to pay particular attention to terms that rank in positions 2-5 and terms that rank near the top of the second page. The reason for this is that these are the areas that get the greatest gain in traffic when you improve search engine ranking. For example if you go from the top of the second page to the bottom of the first, you can expect your click through rate to triple or even quadruple. Granted, in most cases we are talking about long tail search terms that don't have huge volumes. Likewise any movement from the fifth position up will generate significant traffic increases. Going from 5th position to 3rd position will double your traffic, going from 3rd position to 1st position will more than quadruple your click through rate.

The key factor is that these are terms that were not optimized for, so in theory, it may not take much to improve their ranking. By using the Google webmaster tool, you can discover what web page to review. Perhaps all you have to do is modify the title tag, add some content or maybe just create a deep text link. For most long tail search terms, the result should be a slight improvement in rankings. I previously used this method by Google Analytics and manually putting terms in the search bar, but with some of Google Webmaster tools newer features, the process is a lot easier.

Example: For an ecommerce site, we discovered that the site was currently ranking #12 in a long tail search term. There were about 24 visits a month to the site for that search term. By some very rudimentary optimization of the webpage we got the term to rank #9. The monthly traffic increased to over 120 visits, and resulted in one additional order per month at average sales of $350.00. We generated about $4000.00 dollars of additional revenue per year. Thanks to Google Webmaster Tools this method becomes very easy.

How To Earn Money Using Google AdWords - Tools And Tips

Do you want to know how to earn money using Google AdWords? Learning to effectively use Google AdWords can exponentially increase your profit margin online. Here are some effective methods that will help your business and profits quickly grow.

A) The Money Making Process

With each new Internet user comes a new potential prospect to advertise your services or products to. Never in the history of advertising has there been such an effective marketing tool as Google AdWords. Why is this? Two words. Instant Advertising.

With Google AdWords it is quite simple to setup your ad campaign. All that remains after you have a product or service to advertise is signing up for an AdWords account. Only a few clicks later, and bang...millions of potential prospects will instantly see your ad.

B) How To Make A Buck Or Two

When learning how to earn money using Google AdWords, it's important to realize the need to drive highly targeted traffic to your site. AdWords is a perfect advertising tool for this.

What methods should you employ when composing a Google ad?

The headline must grab the attention of your prospect

The remaining ad lines must quickly describe product benefits and create a call to action

The url (domain) name should be related to your business or product

If you can make these 3 things work together, then you'll have a good ad. Over time, you'll learn to adjust certain words to create a higher click through rate (CTR), which is the percentage of people who click on your ad when they search for the keyword or keywords that your ad is optimized for.

As your CTR continues to increase, Google will allow you to pay less for your ads.

Before you write your ad you must think as a consumer, NOT a seller. Ask yourself these questions:

What keywords will my prospects be using to search for my product?

How much will they be willing to pay?

What kinds of benefits are they looking for in a product?

Answering these questions before you write your ads is very important. This will allow you to predict the mindset of your buyer which can save you lots of time and money.

C) The Ultimate Objective

When mastering the art of how to earn money using Google AdWords it's important not to lose sight of the two most basic elements:

Write a good ad that people will click on
Make sure your landing page both excites the prospect to buy and matches the ad you have written.

Most Google AdWords newbies forget to make sure that their sales page matches the ad that precedes it. What does this mean? Basically, make an effort to see that the page you direct people to naturally corresponds with the ad description buyers will click on. Don't write an ad about improving your golf swing and then send them to a sales page for discount golf clubs.

Ultimately your online success will come down to you marketing your product or opportunity effectively. Driving targeted traffic to your site is the key to success.

The Blog Revolution: How To Use Blogs to Generate Solid Web Profits

Blogs were originally only meant to be 'Web Logs', or personal journals for members of on-line communities to stay in touch, sort of like 'underground news media'. But, it didn't take long for net-repreneurs (internet entrepreneurs) to catch on to their popularity and to find ways to use them to make money. The human mind is infinitely creative and nothing really stays the same.

This awesome entrepreneurial spirit transmogrified Blogs into what they are today: very powerful marketing weapons that have almost made some other forms of advertising, redundant. It never ceases to surprise me how ingenious people are when it comes to finding new ways to generate cash flow, particularly in web marketing - what a power-house!! It leaves real-world business for dead (in my opinion).

Traditional safelists are becoming somewhat threadbare. Isn't it amazing how quickly business changes on the 'Net, and isn't it weird how safelist people 'spin their wheels' by posting, posting, posting, when most messages go to 'junk' in-boxes to be automatically deleted. You can send out a whole lot of messages with safelists, but only a tiny percentage are likely to be actually read by a real person. Maybe that's why email traffic is threatening to choke the Internet. Because of this, many canny web business people have now shifted to Blogs as their main tool for promotion. Many others, like me - who continue to believe that safelists have a role (when properly used) -have made Blogs a valuable extra facility in their marketing toolboxl.

Blogs have become so popular because they are so very user-friendly for advertising. They are practical, easy to set up and very convenient to use. Keeping content up to date is very easy for webmasters who otherwise would have to spend hours uploading and downloading files. Be warned, however, that setting up a 'Free' Blog, will mean you will have a lot of other people's ads on it (There's no such thing as a 'free lunch'). It's always worth paying because, yes, you get what you pay for.

Anyway, There are probably five key methods (and a whole lot more) you can use to ensure that Blogs pump up your web profits.

1. BLOGS ARE MAGNETS FOR SEARCH ENGINES: Go on, get on to Google and, whatever topic you search, you'll inevitably see that the search engines have thrown up a number of Blogs in the top ten results. This is because Blogs are constantly showing fresh, new and key word friendly content just like your web pages should; that's a Blog's very reason for being. Imagine the value to you of having your own Blog pop in the top end of search results. The ubiquitous search engines clamor to highlight fresh, appropriate content - they love it. Constantly re-newed and freshened Blogs leave stale, ageing (and rarely updated) web sites for dead.

2. BLOGS LOVE TO LINK TO EACH OTHER: Yes, Blogs love to stick together, creating networking 'heaven'. Just one link on your Blog could see visitors drop in from all over the place. Wow - visitors queueing to click your links; how powerful is that for an advertising and traffic generating system. Awesome.

3.YOUR CUSTOMERS WILL APPRECIATE REGULARLY HEARING FROM YOU: You see, Blogs today have this great 'comment' facility which means your people - your customers - can ask you questions and give you valuable feedback almost immediately. This is almost like a 'chat' system, and is quicker than email. Forget about having to manipulate your source codes, Blogs make this unnecessary. Blogs have an amazing comment system that allows your customers to immediately post feedbacks and queries. And that's what service on the net is all about today - quick responses, dependable advice and getting what you want, when you want. Now. And Blogs can do it.

4. PUMP UP YOUR ADSENSE PROFITS: If you're into Pay Per Click marketing, well Blogs are ideal for you. Then can stimulate even more regular traffic than your basic garden variety web site. Google AdSense, god bless 'em, even lets Blog owners show as many as three appropriate ads, and these must relate to your theme and content, on their Blog pages. It's Blogging marvelous!! Here's the key reason why your Blog should have a 'niche', a specific theme, a targeted audience. Take time to give some thought to this when you set up a Blog. What about AdSense? The more visitors - and they're likely only dropping in because of what you specifically offer - who click on your Blog's Adsense ads, the more income you can earn.

5. BLOGS ARE A DREAM FOR AFFILIATE MARKETERS: Like me, I just bet you are enrolled in more affiliate programs than you can count. The problem is how to continue to promote all of them. ANSWER - You can easily use Blog 'reviews'. Simply design each Blog entry around the particular affiliate program you want to focus on that day. Extol the virtues of the program, product, service or what-ever, give good advice about the PROs and the CONs (this objectivity impresses the hell out of potential buyers who are usually pleased with honesty) and include your affiliate link, almost as an after-thought. This is not hard-sell territory. This is the 'soft-sell' Most 21st century people run a mile from 'hard sellers' but they will take time to listen if they believe you are giving good, solid, valuable advice. Providing such good, valuable info encourages your people to come back for more. Hey, you don't even need to create an individual page for every affiliate program because Blogging makes this unnecessary. What a time saver!!

Whew. Blogs do get me a bit excited. And these tips are only the tip of the iceberg. I am sure you can be creative in the marketing use of your Blogs because they have enormous potential. Just check out the exponential growth of Blogs today and you'll see what I mean. If you want fresh Blog ideas, all you have to do is cruise through a few of them. Check out what the pros are doing and, do the same. Remember, imitation is the ultimate form of flattery.

Don't let anyone try to tell you that the bottom is falling out of web marketing. The awesome growth and popularity of Blogs shows that they could not be more wrong.

Happy Blogging!!

The How To of Google Adwords

Google Adwords is a pay-per-click service that is most likely the most successful key to advertising online. This service allows top placement on the first page of Google, and by doing so increases a websites traffic and business. Although one can achieve great success with Google Adwords, to the beginner, it can be quite confusing. So here are some simple steps to remember:

1.) First you will need to setup an account, this is just like setting up and e-mail address, the site simply asks for your information, and then you're ready to go.

2.) If you are signing up for the first time, Google might require you to setup a campaign right away. So, you will choose keyword targeted campaign. Then, you will need to name your campaign, this can be anything you want, since it is basically there just so you know which campaign is which.

3.) Next, all you do is choose your countries, most likely you will only want the English speaking countries.

4.) The next step is to simply write your ad. When writing your ad, remember that people will only purchase something if it relieves pain, or gives pleasure. People only want things that fix a problem, or promise to make them feel good. Keep these things in mind, when you write your ad.

5.) Next, it is time to choose your keywords. Most people think that the more hits for their keyword, the better. This is simply not true; you really want to pick keywords that only have up to 10,000 hits. This will lessen your competition and assure that the hits you are getting are specifically looking for your product, and are willing to buy.

6.) Finally, you need to set your daily budget, and be careful here, if you choose $5 a day, in 30 days, that is $150. So, you must make sure you can afford that. You also need to choose how much you are willing to pay per click...no more than 50 cents is advisable.

After following these simple steps, the novice should be able to run a successful Google Adwords campaign. The only bad thing about Google Adwords, is that it does cut into your profit. There is a new product out there than can eliminate these costs, and set you up with Google Adwords for free. To read a review on this product, Click Here! How to Track Google AdWords Conversions

Google AdWords provides anyone who aspires to make it good in the online marketing beginning with the proper ways of choosing keywords for your ads to the implementation and actual presentation of the ad itself. Google AdWords made sure that the right tools are available to guide you in almost every aspect of the online advertising industry.

The way to an effective ad campaign does not end with the posting of the ad itself. In fact, the path to ensuring the success of your ad campaign is first choosing the right keyword or set of keywords, then making a very persuasive ad, and then the actual execution of the ad, and then another branching of the path begins with tracking conversions and assessing the results. And this particular step in the ad campaign process is what determines what part of your ad is working and what does not.

There are two essential conversion tracking tools provided by Google available on the AdWords platform but if you are just starting out, it would be best to try out the landing page hits and the amount of sales produced from a specific link that you utilized within the ad.

To start tracking conversions using Google AdWords, you have to first use JavaScript to embed the conversion link. The safest and most efficient way to do this is to use JavaScript codes especially if you are employing the virtual shopping cart setup or the confirmation as part of the checkout process system.

Keep in mind that that the singular requirement so that you can run the conversion tracker on your website is if you are operating a legitimate AdWords advertisement on the site and at the same time the code snippet is placed solely on the conversion page. If you lack any of these components, your effort to generate accurate data is for naught.

Now if instead of using the shopping cart types of selling you have PayPal as your payment instrument, then all you need to do is prepare a conversion confirmation webpage inside PayPal and then insert the Google AdWords JavaScript code directly into web page to continue tracking conversions. You will automatically have a record of a customer's conversion and visit as soon as the he or she finishes the shopping cart or PayPal buying procedure.

You can make more intellectual decisions when you have conversion data within your hands. With the correct data coming in, you can make proper adjustments to make better your return of investment.

How to Explode Your Downline Using Google AdWords Without Losing Your Shirt - Part 2

In part 1 of How To Explode Your Downline using Google AdWords Without Losing Your Shirt I discussed the 90/10 principle. With this article I will discuss how to set up a Google AdWords account and creating your ad for maximum effectiveness.

The first step is to go to Google and register for a Google AdWords account. The fee is $5.00 to set it up. Next, you want to choose English as your customers language. After this you will be able to target your customers location. Google AdWords allows you to choose the country or countries where you want your ads to display. If you are selling a product or service that is not specific to the USA you can choose all English speaking countries like England, Canada, Australia, etc.

Now it is time to create our AD. I recommend using the following headline for your ad. For example, {Keyword: Network Marketing}. The Keyword tag will display your headline as whatever the prospect is searching for on Google. This means that if your prospect is searching for home business and home business is one of your keywords then your ad will display with home business as your title vs. network marketing. People are much more likely to click on your ad if it has the exact search query they entered in the search engine.

The following ad is an ad I placed some time ago that was very effective.

{Keyword: Grow Massive Downline}
Want A Massive Downline In Your MLM
How Does 447 Downline/Month Sound?

Do you see how the word downline is in my heading and on each line of my ad? Google also allows you to create a dummy url that you can display to your prospects. Always make your dummy url specific to your ad. In your Google AdWords account you can enter your dummy url and below it enter your website. When your prospects click on your ad Google will redirect them to your website or lead capture page.

I would test different ads to see which ad generates the best response. Google allows you to do this, they will also keep track of all your clicks on a daily basis. After creating your ad you will be asked to enter your keyword list. Hopefully by now you have done your research and have created a huge list of keywords. The following tools are good for doing keyword research. "Googkeywords.com, Google Sandbox, Adword Analyzer, and Wordtracker.com

The next article in this series will discuss the math involved in PPC and how to set up your cost per click.

How to Use Google AdWords Effectively Today

The largest PPC or pay per click firm in the whole wide world is Google AdWords and nobody would be able to dispute that and the truth is the most widely used tool in the industry for most major or small business owners when it comes to traffic generation and guiding them onto the desired website and the whole process of traffic buildup is not as simple as it may seem especially if you have not had a lengthy tutorial when it comes to the proper management of your campaign through the use of Google AdWords. So before you immerse yourself in the online marketing optimization field, you may want to read up on some of the tips that may greatly help you so that you can use Google AdWords to its full potential.

The moment that you start your Google AdWords campaign, you will be required to enter an Ad group and an Ad title the former being the text below the Ad title and the latter is the usually a bold loud title that people will most likely see when you appear on the search engine result pages. Be very cautious and extra choosy in your approach because your choice and placements regarding the Ad title and Ad group will have a direct impact on the amount of traffic your site will have and it will also greatly affect the cost that you will have to pay per click.

To show further this point, let us assume that I am setting up an advertising piece about garden pots since that is the product that I am trying to market on the online world and originally what I would choose as my ad title would be "Garden Pots For Sale" but to be more creative and to attract more people to take a look into the products or services that you offer you may want to phrase your ad title as "Want to have garden pots that will match your garden motif? Look into our garden pots catalog and see a new world of garden pots designs!". A catchy ad title may sometimes spell the success of your traffic generation efforts and you always have to keep in mind that the ad title is your first effort in touching base with your potential buyers.

Coming up with more relevant ad titles will definitely score you good points with the search engines since search engines such as Google have a soft spot for quality and the possession of relevant links to your websites and the great effect of this is that it lowers down your cost per click. So for one who wants to maximize their website's presence online and be more exposed without spending so much, then you can start with making sure that the ad title has keywords and phrases that will surely catch the reader's attention and will move the customers to make some positive action towards becoming a lead or being converted into a sale.

How Powerful Is Google AdWords?

If there is one thing that makes Google AdWords really effective at what it does, it is the convenience that it provides online marketers and advertisers to work within their own time frame. Whether the web advertiser is running a website at the same time or otherwise, Google AdWords has paved the way for an efficient and effective means of online product promotions.

The great thing about Google AdWords is that, it lets online advertisers choose and use their own methodologies and strategies that they see fit for their online ad campaigns. If you have tried using Google AdWords before and did not quite get the results that you were hoping for, perhaps you missed a thing or two - but that does not mean that you should drop using Google AdWords altogether.

There are several benefits to using Google AdWords, and the biggest one is letting a particular ad go live in no time - Google AdWords does not hesitate when it comes to putting advertisements on the web, they instantly go live the moment they are placed. That means you need not wait for your ad to appear on the first page of Google, for Google AdWords has cleared that job for you.

Using organic online marketing strategies such as article marketing and search engine optimization (SEO) will give you several weeks or even several months before you see the fruits of your labor. Landing in the first page of Google can be very difficult and time consuming if you do not take advantage of Google AdWords.

Although ideally more affordable, going the search engine optimization route will only slow down your campaign. Because of the still and very solid competition existing among different SEO campaigns from different advertisers and marketers, you might not get to where you want to be in your planned out time.

Not using this source would mean having to conduct mind boggling website optimization and gather positive backlinks from different websites just to make sure that you get at least noticed by the different search engine spiders. If you are thinking of doing an organic online marketing campaign you better keep in mind that there are hundreds of websites more established than yours and have been in the business for years before you even came to the picture, so make sure that you really have the big guns to go past their tracks and be on top.

But perhaps the thing that makes AdWords really great compared to other online advertising methods is its ability to provide highly targeted traffic to a website. When you use Google AdWords, you will be able to sell your products for profit without going through a lot of struggles as it provides you straight ahead with targeted prospects able and willing to buy your products right there and then.

How to Use Google AdWords

Basically, businesses advertise with Google and then Google places these ads on third party websites if the owner of that website has signed up for the program. Whenever someone clicks from your website to an advertiser's website, you make some money for the referral. This is somewhat complicated at times, but it is definitely a good way to make money online once you get the hang of it.

What some people now do is base their website around a company that is paying a lot through Google AdWords in order to make more money. For example, if you were to stumble upon a company that is paying 10 cents for every click and you are able to optimize your website to gain a lot of traffic, you could make very large amounts of money through these referrals.

This can also work in the opposite direction if you want to gain traffic to your website through this program. What you do is register your website with Google AdWords and the company will find people to promote your product for you. This is much easier than going out and producing your own keyword articles, as all of this is done for you. In addition, you will only have to pay if the advertising actually works, since you will pay a fee for any traffic that is sent to your site.

There are also security measures in place to prevent people from clicking more than once, as this traffic must be unique each and every time. You can also be sure that your good AdWord traffic is interested in what you are selling because they will have made a conscious effort to click on your ad.

One thing to keep in mind is that you must have your website set up in a way that will generate many sales, as you will have to pay for this advertising somehow. One mistake that many beginners make is that they reach a lot of traffic to their website, but they are unable to convert this traffic into sales. In these situations, the person will still have to pay Google AdWords [http://worthoverdoing.com.au/pay-per-click-advertising.html] for the service, even though they did not make any money from this traffic. If you want to find an AdWords Australia company that will get you the best results, make sure that you visit a recognised PPC company.

Worth Overdoing is a Google AdWords Australia company that can maximize your website's potential through the proper use of this program. You will not have to worry about getting traffic to your website when you use this service and they can even help you arrange your site in a way that is certain to produce sales. There are many companies out there that can help you with Google PPC [http://worthoverdoing.com.au/pay-per-click-advertising.html], but none that are as efficient as Worth Overdoing.

Use Google AdWords to Build a List of Hungry Buyers Even Before You Have a Product Ready

Did you know that you can use Google AdWords to build a list of hungry buyers who are interested in your offer, even before your product is ready? Attracting buyers to your business is all about creating interest and curiosity. This is about using the right words to appeal to your prospective customers, but how can you build your list without a product?

One of the most critical factor in starting your internet business is to get off to a fast start. It is about how quickly you can be in profit. The quicker you start making money is the more enthusiastic you will be about your business, and the more you will be inclined to work harder towards your success. Using Google AdWords to build a list of hungry buyers fast before you even have a product ready, is the surest way to get into profit quickly.

Here are five (5) simple steps to use Google AdWords to build a list of hungry buyers, before your product is even ready:

(1). Decide On The Product You Will Be Creating - Your first order of business is to decide what product you are going to create. What information will you be providing to your target audience, and how will you present this information? This could be in the form of an e-course, a report or an ebook, some video tutorials or even a webinar training. Deciding on your subject matter will give you some idea as to the content you will give to your target market.

(2). Create A Keyword Targeted Landing Page - If you have done your keyword research, then you will now have your keywords and keyword phrases to create your advertising campaign. Here you will want to create a simple one page website, that will address the specific need that people are having with their problem. Remember that you will have to relate to their problem, and let them know why they should pay attention to you instead of someone else.

Let them know that you are creating a course that will address their specific problem, and you are putting the final pieces together. You will have to be very creative here with your words, as you want to generate interest and curiosity. Remember, this is about understanding their problem, and letting them know that you have a workable solution for it.

(3). Include An Opt-in Form For More Information - There will be a "call to action" on your page, but this will not be to buy a product, as you do not yet have it ready. Your optin form on your landing page will address people who are interested in learning more about this course to optin for more information. Here you will be promising to let them know when your product is ready. Providing something of value like a free report, an ebook, or a video as an incentive, can be very effective here as well.

(4). Use Google AdWords To Drive Traffic To Your Landing Page - As soon as your landing page is ready, you can start driving targeted traffic to your page by using Google AdWords. Why this source of traffic generation? Because it is the quickest method and it works great. Pay per click (PPC) is the fastest and most cost effective way to drive traffic to any website as you only pay for the traffic you get. There is a bit of a learning curve involved to avoid spending too much, but it will be well worth it.

(5). Send An Email To Your Subscribers When Your Product Is Ready - Now here is where you want to keep your promise. As soon as your product is ready, send an email to your potential customers and guess what, you will start making sales immediately. You have already created interest and curiosity with your prospects, so they are anxiously awaiting your product. They have already taken action in opting in to your page for an early alert.

Now this is what the gurus and the top income earners on the internet use to build their list like crazy every-time. This is so simple it is almost unbelievable, yet many people who are creating products do not use it. This strategy shows you that you do not need to have a product to start building your list, and these will be the most targeted people that you can get as customers.

So if you would like to use Google AdWords to build a list of hungry buyers who are interested in your offer, even before it is ready, just follow the five (5) simple steps outlined above and you will be well on your way.

How to Create Google Adwords Ads that Generate Traffic

Search Engine Optimization is a big buzz word today and many people are focusing on optimizing their websites for the search engines. Although you get most of your traffic through search engines there is an easier way to generate traffic using the search engines and that is through pay per click programs such as Google Adwords. Google Adwords makes it easier to benefit from search engine traffic as the results are not just based on search engine optimization but on relevancy and how much you are willing to bid per click. Once you have achieved first rank on Google Adwords though your advert needs to attract visitors to click through and buy your product and that is what we are going to be considering in this article.

Google Adwords Ads that Generate Traffic Start with Keyword Research

Like search engine optimization, generating website traffic from Google Adwords ads requires doing thorough keyword research beforehand. This can be done using the Google Adwords keyword research tool or other keyword tools such as Wordtracker. The important thing is to find keywords where there is lots of search volume with little competition.

Google Adwords Ads that Generate Traffic Pack Two Lines Full

Your Google Adwords ads are only a title and two lines which means that into those two lines you are going to need to fit plenty of information - you need to include features, benefits, negative qualifiers and enough information about your product to make people want to click. Your Google Adwords ads should also include the primary keyword for your ad in the title and perhaps elsewhere in your ad copy to ensure people that they have what you are looking for.

Google Adwords Ads that Generate Traffic Include Features and Benefits

In order to encourage people to click through your Google Adwords ads to get to your landing page you want to include features and benefits that appeal to your customer. Think about your best benefit as well as a feature that most clients like and include these in your copy. The benefit may be inserted into the headline of the ad to pull people into reading more and then the feature listed further down along with a negative qualifier.

Google Adwords Ads Should Have a Negative Qualifier

A negative qualifier is that part of your Google Adwords ads which weeds out those who are genuinely interested in your product from those who click through and then don't buy. Your negative qualifier may be the price (if it is quite expensive), the geographical location you serve or anything else which may prevent someone buying your product.

To Create the Best Google Adwords Ads You Should Track Their Success

In order to create the best Google Adwords ads you should constantly track and test your ads to see what is working and what is not. Use split testing to test a single feature by comparing two slightly different ads. Use Google Adwords reports to measure more differences and gradually change your Google Adwords campaigns to the best results.

In conclusion, if you really want to benefit from search engine traffic then why not take advantage of Google Adwords. By creating Google Adwords ads you are able to get higher rankings by paying for these results and if you create a great Google Adwords ad with features, benefits and negative qualifiers you will get people click through to your landing page who are seriously interested in buying your product.
